Ethan Margolis left the USA at the age of 21 to study the art of flamenco in Andalusia, Spain. He returned to the USA and specifically to Los Angeles 11 years later in 2010 and launched his flamenco fusion project entitled ‘Sir Sultry’. Sir Sultry is a mixture of flamenco rhythms, dance, bluesy vocals and
singer-songwriter vibes.During his 11 years in Spain, Margolis formed a roots flamenco dance company(www.arteypureza.com), toured the world, taught master classes in many prestigious universities, wrote a touring flamenco rock opera (Spanish Day), and has composed for theater and commercial recordings. He has performed with a long list of Spain’s most prominent flamenco artists including Concha Vargas, Inés Bacán, El Lebrijano, Curro Fernandez, Las Peligros and Tomás Perrate.
